I've been keeping warm this winter by working hard... Things were a bit chaotic after I moved my studio home, but now I'm getting a bit more organized, producing new artworks and preparing for Site_Specific, which happens next month 10-17 August in Plettenberg Bay. I'm participating in some group exhibitions, and I am also planning the next workshop, which will be an open air workshop, on the beach! In three weeks I'm going to Plettenberg Bay! I am one of the artists for the second Site_Specific International Land Art Biennale happening 10-17 August.
If you can, come and join us - there are many exciting happenings on the programme and ways to participate or interact with the artists and Site_Specific team members. Highlights include a Land Art Party on the 16th at the Beacon Island Resort, and the unveiling of Strijdom van der Merwe's work "Calling the Herd" - the second work on the Eden To Addo Route, with Simon Bannister's Aartmoeders being the first.
