The night promises to be a hot time with cool adventures in creating, making, eating, and viewing.  The Craft Center's studios include the equipment necessary to produce using Hot processes like glass blowing, enameling, jewelry making, and firing ceramics.  Hot Night in the City focuses attention on those processes as well as many of the opportunities for making that are provided annually at the Craft Center.  Hot Night in the City WOOphoria events include:

• Throwing Under the Stars--wheel throwing demonstrations with opportunities to try your hand at the wheel and tours of the ceramics studio
• Glass blowing demonstrations using the Center's portable glass furnace; the main furnace is located at the New Street Glass Studio
• Opportunities to try your hand at enameling and creating with clay
• Opening of BLINDED BY SCIENCE, an exhibit in the Center's Krikorian Gallery curated by Carrie Crane of five women artists whose work is inspired by scientific ideas
• Blacksmithing and a HOT metal pour. 
• Flameworking demonstrations producing glass beads
• Cool drinks and air-conditioning in the Center's building
• The Dogfather food truck and Jerry's Ice Cream truck
• Joy of Music Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Rich Ardizzone
• Display of Carnival Costumes by the Worcester Carribbean American Carnival Association with information about the Center's upcoming exhibition ¡CARNAVAL!
• And surprise additions including a free raffle and more.

Information about the Craft Center's Fall class program will be available; students signing up for multi-week classes at Hot Night will receive a $10 discount, and may purchase a WOO card at a reduced rate!
