From the Archives In 1988, as the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden was inaugurated, the Walker dedicated an entire issue of Design Quarterly to the innovative new space. Today, as we celebrate 25 years of this beloved art park, we revisit an essay written by one of the visionaries behind the Garden: then-director Martin Friedman.
