From the Archives
In 1988, as the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden was inaugurated, the Walker dedicated an entire issue of Design Quarterly to the innovative new space. Today, as we celebrate 25 years of this beloved art park, we revisit an essay written by one of the visionaries behind the Garden: then-director Martin Friedman.
Blog Entry
“I hope it comes across as a big crazy experiment,” says Grant Cutler of his upcoming set with Aby Wolf and Zoo Animal at Summer Music & Movies in Loring Park. In addition to composing a song from lyrics by conceptual artist Abraham Cruzvillegas, Cutler says the group is considering a “Tequila” cover to precede Pee Wee’s Big Adventure.
