Artists Describing Their Art:
Paul Gazda - These works are from my "Household Icons" series. In this series, I transform discarded household objects into art by mounting them on wire mesh and painting them with a variety of acrylic mediums. These works are fun, but at the same time draw attention to the things we take for granted in our daily lives. I also have a "Concept" and "Didactic" series. Maria Teresa Fernandes - Admiring Teresa's paintings we are touched by her pictorial sensitivity. Difficult task in light colors (volume and transparencies on a clear basis). Few do it due to the required dedication with pallete knife(no brush). It's painting consacrated by the love to paint. Syed Waqas Saghir - The key to accomplishment lies in breaking barriers and phobias that keep us from being what we truly are, a free spirit with unfathomable capacities enough to knock on heavenaEURtms door. Art is the expression of such a spirit that takes into account everything which exists in the tangible world and mixes it with the metaphysical. This page is dedicated to all the endeavors one goes through to achieve the seemingly impossible because the journey within ourselves is seldom explored. My freedom of expression takes inspiration through connecting the dots to unravel reality itself, its greatest mysteries, and the struggle we all face in our lives. My work takes into account various creative platforms, including aEURC/ Digital Art aEURC/ Illustration aEURC/ Doodle aEURC/ Sketch aEURC/ Digital Sketches aEURC/ all other ideation related materials Be sure to like and comment on my work, critique is accepted so that I can further improve myself. ...
Don Schaeffer - I work from photographs abstracting what I see as the essence of the picture. I have been drawing and painting since I was in junior high school. I always thought I was serious about it. With the advent of the internet, I now have places to post and publish my work. I work with oil crayons and graphite as well as crayola crayons and graphite. I tried water color but don't feel that comfortable with them. -- I have written 5 books of poetry and published numerous poems in magazines and e-zines. Photographs and paintings have also appeared in print and in internet publications. ...
Sean Willett - I am primarily interested in building objective forms through fortuitous, subconscious creation. My work is highly process-driven and is tied into the relationship of different patterns and materials; impasto technique, iridescence and sometimes found-objects are incorporated. It is a marriage of illusion and the psychology of shape and color with oblique reference to natural material and form. With my work, I try to use a modern aesthetic with a message of vitality and inter connectivity to speak of our global family, as well as my own fingerprint of individuality and the subjective experience. I also intend for my art to be meditative like mandalas. Most importantly to my oeuvre is an overall impression of goodness and self-power, positivity and enthusiasm. I feel this vernacular is regrettably absent from the popular art scene today....
