Pedro Martin De Clet - Born: Brooklyn; New York. Raised:New Haven; Connecticut. "I am completely self-taught. & although I work in all mediums, I consider myself first & foremost a Painter. My subject matter is everything having to do with life. Love, hate, joy, fear, pain, happiness, sorrow, & everything in between. I Paint what others can't or won't. I believe that ideas are only as good as the content that embodies them. I Paint the truth. I have no time to waste. Neither the viewers, nor mine. I leave that to the pretenders & posers, content on ideas without substance & clean hands. Painting should be as real as the Paint on the canvas, or piece of paper; or what have you. I do not mean that it has to be figurative, but that it should carry the weight & conviction of a soul. Then if it is any good, the viewer will either love it, or hate it. & this is what I am after." pedro ...
Clovis Aquino - Painting Watercolours is a great moment for me, its when my inner world comes out and I show myself without masks. I try to transmit my "romantic" feeling through my paintings . I paint landscapes but also abstract or informal subjects. My oils are most of the time Masters' Copies, it's a moment for learning and increasing my approach to art, but it's also a challenge with myself and a way for me to give tribute to the great artists of the past. I'm also fascinated of a person's stare, a portrait is something special and unique for me because I can paint someone's portrait only when I can catch his/her stare and related expression, that's the same for my imaginary portraits. Being born in Brazil, and now living in Rome, gives me a opportunity of touching the Past, living the Present and getting ready for the Future at the same time...the Eternal City...that's my research of Life=Art! ...
Yuriy Pestov - We constantly experience input of information into our minds. This does not necessarily form conscious knowledge. Rather it may be unformatted environmental impingements, all exposure to the elements and resulting psychical and physical changes come from this. Traveling in different places and changing environments enhances this input. You just have to be attentive to details, fleeting occurrences. Tales, folklore, other media events and old myths can all be helpful. Insight, as well as providing an immeasurable source of information, consolidates everything. My task as an artist is to put these data on paper or onto whatever material I am working with at the moment. Diverse mediums such as: printmaking, digital graphics, stage design for concert dance, performance art, installation, sculpture, photography bond me as a creator with art. The human body has always been a central interest to artists. Movement adds a new dimension to the human personality. This is why both in photography and performance art my subjects often are movement of the human body and dance. Though sometimes vestigial human presence in surrounding ambiance is enough. I do not look purposefully for materials for my works, though often ponder on a subject for a long time. Materials are...

Michal Ashkenasi - Welcome to my Portfolio! If you are wondering if this is just another floral/landscape artist,I am not!
