My work aims to engage with the longstanding tradition of Australian landscape painting yet offer a contemporary take on the genre. Through my work I aim to explore our dynamic psychological relationship to the world around us.
In the past I have explored the idea of people’s place in the environment through various permutations, primarily: the absence of people, people disconnected from the landscape, and moments observing others (most often children) at imaginative play creating their own space.
