Artwork Description:
A ceramic spindle whorl used once in ancient North Africa (3 cm); two smaller, ancient, Ecuadorian ceramic whorls flank it, complemented by antique African brass trade beads... contemporary golden-yellow crackle agate beads, vintage handmade pit-fired pottery cones, and tiny vintage bone rings from India. This is wearable art celebrating the age-old Women's Work of weaving and pottery-making.
