Columbus College of Art and Design is proud to present Sabbatical Exhibitions Fall 2009, which comprises three exhibitions, shown simultaneously, of work completed during recent sabbaticals by CCAD faculty. All three exhibitions will be on view in the Canzani Center Gallery from Nov. 19 through Dec. 19. Highlighted here is Walter King exhibition "Argentina Remembered - Reprised Watercolors from Cordoba and Salta Provinces". Walter King has been a Premiere Portfolio Member at absoltuearts.com since 2001.

In 2007, Walter King painted a collection of 70 watercolors while traveling in the lower Andes of Argentina. Those works, along with watercolors made on a previous trip to South America, were stolen en route to the United States. Attesting to the power of memory and to the lasting impressions Argentina made on King, this exhibition features a collection of works he recreated from memory upon returning to Ohio, as well as a number of small sketches that did make it home with the artist.

Walter king is a Professor of Illustration at CCAD.
