Artist Statement:
Legally blind for over 10
years, emerging San Diego
artist Brita Ferm started
painting in her late 40's
after a career in social
service and substance abuse
prevention research. She
lives in the southern
California seaside community
of Ocean Beach, and loves
using bold images and bright
colors to portray the beach
life around her. Her
paintings reflect her love for
children and animals. She
exhibits locally and
participates in eBay and EBSQ
on-line auctions.
Brita's works hang in homes
and offices around the world.
She gladly accepts
commissions, and has produced
many adorable Pop Pet
Portraits. Examples and
pricing are available on
request.
