Edith Piaf Series:
Edith Piaf has been a fascinating subject to me for a long time, and after seeing the recent film, La Vie en Rose, I decided to create some images of her at significant times in her life. Hence, the Edith Piaf Series.
Edith triumphed over her tragic life by singing, and she always sang from her soul.
In the acrylic portrait, Edith in the Dressing Room, I attempted to show her defiance, courage, and vulnerability.
