Automatic Series _ Late 2008:
The Late 2008 works from the Automatic Series are acrylic on canvas, a departure from earlier work done with latex paint or screen print inks. These have been experiments both with fluid acrylics and building texture with heavy bodied acrylics.
The Automatic Series philosophy involves using various machines, often of my own construction, to apply paint to a slowly revolving substrate. In a sense, this is art making art. The paint application techniques may vary ... (view this exhibition)
