Artist Statement:
The artist's trajestory.
He completes his studies in design and art at the Escuela MASSANA (Barcelona) in 1972, and takes the path of investigation into color and geometrical forms.
After several years of invetigation, in the 80s, he develops a theory about the influence of color on the human mind and takes as a personal reference the geometrical form of a tetraedron considering it as an element of visual inspiration to himself.
Convinced that the visual observation of colors, captured in sequences of harmony, cretates sensations of well being and that the contrary causes altarations of state of mind, he inmerses himself in the research of a technique of pictorial ewpression taking oils as the reference.
A few years later his experimental work on textures and ways of expressions leads him to achieve what he considers the oil in movement, an oil texture that allows him the maximun expression in his creations; which is totally reflected in his first grand collection " Mined and Cosmos ", using canvas with a triangular shape a a reference to his favourite geometrical form, allowing him to display his most intimate sensations about the mind and the cosmos.
Although he receives excellent reviews and success ...
