Artist Statement:
As a person of Celtic origin,
living in the Antipodes gives
one a sense of isolation from
your cultural beginnings. I
have sought to connect with
these origins firstly through
travel, and more recently
through art. I believe that
although New Zealand is a
small and relatively young
country, its cultural
diversity, location, and fauna
are rich with influences from
which I can draw. This
combination has lead me to
conclude that I am a Pacific
