Artist Statement:
I began oil painting in Italy
when I was fourteen. I had
always drawn and painted with
pastels as my preferred
pastime as a child but Italy's
art penetrated my soul and the
beginnings of a yearning to be
an artist began to form. I
received a BFA degree with
Honors in painting and drawing
from the University of Hawaii
and then went on to receive my
MFA in painting at the
University of Arizona. I have
taught at the University level
for many years but my true
desire was to just make art.
I now paint full time and
enjoy the support of several
galleries in the United State,
Canada and Europe. My work is
in many private and corporate
collections including the
