Debra accepts commissions and can be contacted at 917.912.8159. Debra Ann Reilly was born in & lives in New York City. Debra's work has been viewed coast-to-coast & is mostly noted for her assorted approaches to color, ranging from lightly blended pastels to brightly intensely colored designs. Debra's recent paintings transcend from an ethereal dreamlike quality to an illustrious beat of abstract. There is an aura or vibration on her canvasses that seems to hypnotically draw the viewer into a dream. At age 5 Debra loved painting, in kindergarten she created a life size self-portrait wearing a bright orange smock, holding a huge palette in one hand & a giant paintbrush in the other (painted on brown postal wrapping paper). During the mid-70's she attended weekly art lessons from a painter from Paris, with two other art students in his New York gallery. Debra continued art studies in high school and majoring in college.
