Artists Describing Their Art:

Cheryl Johnson - Art and imagination have always gone hand in hand with me from childhood. Repetitive marks suggesting texture, circular mandala images and brilliant colors combine in many of my drawings. I call upon the child-core of my earliest years to begin the creations, keeping in mind that the humor of my now adult perspective tempers but does not inhibit all my visuals. My art is my dreams made visual....

Il Krughoff - Dear friends My name is Ilya Krughoff, I was born in 1966. I live near the sea, on an island in Finland. I am an artist, musician and composer.Im inspired by the infinite world of music - the early medieval ascetic, the exquisite baroque sensitivity, the eternal perfection of classicalism, the stormy freshness of romance, a magical fantasy from the early 20th century, the soulless indifference and boundless passion modern art. I try to transfer my experience of musicians to canvas and paper in my best ability. Im glad to see you in my art gallery....

Nu Shei - Through my own development my artistic expression has changed with it. Studying thought patterns allows me to understand everything is connected, I use this insight during my artistic process. Colours and unique techniques keeps work exciting, what makes it interesting is interpreting my thoughts in my art....

Pat Woolven - BA Fine Art Sculpture from: University of Southampton Winchester School of Art 2005-2009. As an Artist my practice is research based. My art work is not aimed at the highly polish and finished marketed. I am very happy to work doing a commission work. The process of my work I start by doing a pen and ink drawing and when I get the image that I feel is right. I go on to do a drawing using silk paint on to gloss and eggshell paint which is a pink background. I sign my work using PW105 this complements the works. The History of using PW105 this was part of my University email address and I like using it on my drawing ...

Neal Alicakos - I always had a passion for abstract art and did many doodles when I was young. Through my school years I tried to design the year books. In college I minored in art but my majors were more geared for the business world. Although I was not in the art world for many years I always did my doodles to relieve my stress and fill in free time that I had. Now I am semi retired and want to take more of an interest in the things I like most, my doodles and abstract art work. I believe art is an expression of ones soul and mood behaviors. I used to draw mostly black and whites but find I like using colors now. Once in a while I like to combine black and whites, and the use of color in the same abstract drawing. Most times the viewer may not consider that as appealing, but I like to break boundaries as part of expression. Another medium I focus on time to time is photography. I like pictures of landscapes, seascapes, floral, and building structures. I find beauty in nature and architecture. ...
