This graphite on paper was the result of a drawing assignment. Perhaps it was worth the time spent as it won many cash awards. The title comes from the fact that the items on the artist's desk are just visiting: all are borrowed from the artist's mother and were chosen because of their various textures. Did you notice the depiction of the artist at her drawing trable reflected in the silver ice bucket?
