Welcome to Joanna Borkowska's Portfolio.
Joanna Borkowska, born in Koszalin, Poland, is a self-taught artist who was educated at Jagiellonian University in Krakow where she earned a doctorate in political science and lectured on the history of political thought and international relations. She wrote her dissertation and published a book on Catharism, a medieval heretical movement, after having conducted research in Montpellier, Carcassonne, Paris and Oxford. In September 2007 she left her academic position in order to create art on a full-time basis.... |
