Artist Statement:
My intention is to investigate
a dialogue between
representation and abstraction
along with interactions
between painting and drawing.
I wanted to explore crowds
that cohere as images at a
distance. Up close, the
figures and objects fragment
into their own narrative
spaces. The gesture marks
stand in for visible contact.
