Welcome to Michael Lynne's Portfolio.
During the summer of 2008 I have started a campaign to gradually begin to use a palette knife, or a large sponge brush, that is disposable in an effort to develop a looser, more fluid use of the paint. This is especially important during the underpainting phase of the work. The second part of this approach is to develop more of an eye for shapes within the image instead of subject as a compositional focus.
