Kikuko Sakota - The recent themes of my paintings are imaginative world coming into my mind, while walking in hills and forests. Fresh air, smell of leaves and soils, color of greens, and singing of birds make me recall fairy tales: the witch living in the woods, dwarfs playing music, and so on. It is my bold attempt to interpret invisible but natural miracles into picture planes with my skills focusing on color employment, brushstrokes and composition for those elements. Sandro Bisonni - SANDRO BISONNI lives and works at Appignano Mc, a small town of the Marche, Italy. He attended the Art Institute of Macerata, where he graduated in Decorative Painting under the guidance of maestro Riccardo Piccardoni from Urbino, then a degree in Contemporary Philosophy, Philosophical Aesthetics following courses required by the important contemporary philosopher Giorgio Agamben University of Macerata. Since 2008 began exhibiting in major galleries in Manhattan NEW YORK, such as the AGORA GALLERY in Chelsea, and the BROADWAY GALLERY in SoHo where she is attending a major exhibition of Avant-garde with the English Sculptor Jane McAdam Freud and the famous Chilean Painter Freddy Flores Knistoff entitled LURE, curated by Basak Malone. The same year one of his works Angel of New York is published in the American Magazine NYARTS INTERNATIONAL MAGAZINE. Formation of Bisonni philosophical underpinning these subtle concepts. John Mccarthy - "Chaos for me breeds images." -- Francis Bacon JFM Theory: Chaos is the ultimate order. The energy embodied in John McCarthy's art springs from a chaos that exists at a level that far surpasses the categories of abstract expressionism and other forms of so-called "accidental art." It is a place where the meaningful and the meaningless can playfully co-exist; where reason and the illogical exist side by side; where the details are always superior to the whole; where chaos is the ultimate order, where a lightning bolt of paint ignites texture and impasto in an electric explosion of conscious thought and anxious action. It represents a separate multiverse - where opposing sides forever reverse, replace each other and merge. Conversely, the rules of the world can also be seen as reversals, betrayals, plot twists, double identities, traps, time warps, black holes, rebellions in consciousness, metamorphoses and the big bang. McCarthy's paintings are shards of broken-glass paint that re-define a cubist view of chaos theory. They are atomic or subatomic explosions of colors like nothing that has come before. Look closely at the rivers of color represented in his action painting and see if you can decipher...

Jerry Ross - Manifesto of American Verismo By Jerry Ross, 2012 "American verismo", a movement that I have recently founded, is a catch-all phrase for an artistic style that draws its main inspiration from Italian art, both classical and modern. There is an implied nostalgia for work done "dal vero" (after life) whether classical (Raphael, Rubens, or Caravaggio, etc.) or 19th century (the Tuscan I Macchiaioli school) or more contemporary. Verismo is somewhat akin to contemporary "atelier realism" but the latter has been criticized for an academic uniformity and its over attention to details. American verismo is more poetic and linked to post-impressionism, the Milan-based Scapigliatura ('wild hair') movement, and the I Machiaioli's commitment to social issues. But like atelier realism, American verismo is associated with a painterly sketching style, use of broad brushstrokes, and the alla prima, "direct attack" technique of painting. It is also linked to all'aperto (open air) impressionist-style landscape painting. In short, to pleinairism which has become widely popular in recent years. I first introduced the term during several classes he taught at the Maude Kerns Art Center in Eugene and then later at the "Angels Fight Road Art Center" plein air retreat...

Roberto Rossi - Roberto Rossi is a self-taught art worker. Born in the city of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo State, Brazil, he has been working in the advertising field for 29 years. Art has been present since this artist's early ages, when he has great opportunities to closely watch the activities related to graphic arts that, in the future, would be extremely important for its professional career. Roberto Rossi begins his professional life in 1971, working as reviser for the most reputable juridical book publishing company at the time. In 1976 he is invited to work as copy reviser for the most important advertising agency of the country, where he would stay until 1988. At the same time, he contributes with his professional abilities for Brazilian literature, participating in projects involving very important private editions, some of them dedicated to art and Brazilian colonial furniture. His writer friends look for him when editing their books, in which he helps with copy desk, review, production and creative work in graphical projects. All this background has taken Roberto Rossi to know and search for learning, in details, the daily activities of photographic techniques, both studio and lab tasks, besides art studio, ...

Roberto Rossi - Martha Hayden - My painting is both realistic and abstract, it is on that elusive edge between there and not there. On first look everything is in place, then all dissolves. I want realism and abstraction to take turns. I want a painting sometimes very evocative of time and place, sometimes overwhelming in abstract, structural logic. I look for a surprise, a drama, a different way of seeing. I try not to see anything for itself alone, but as a part of the whole. In this context, my subjects take on meanings other than the accustomed ones. They are more than still life and landscape; they are comments on thinking and seeing. ...

Dieter Picchio-Specht - Art, creativity and imagination have always played an important part in my life, although I have only started to fully concentrate on painting a few years ago. This passion has always been part of me. I have finally given up my work as a general manager in industry - to dedicate all my time to painting. At last I do what I have always wanted to do. It is simply that a dream has finally come true. Even during my years at secondary school my paintings were awarded prizes and I should have enrolled in art classes after I passed my A-levels. In fact, a renowned company manufacturing ceramics offered me a scholarship, which I was unable to accept at the time. I have always kept up with painting as landscapes and images, abstract and impressionist. Since some years now I am able to paint full-time and fill canvas after canvas with my ideas. My new studio is right in the centre of the village of Arcegno, surrounded by wooded hills, near to Ascona, a well-known tourist centre at the Lago Maggiore in the South of Switzerland. I apply the paints directly to the canvas with a spatula. ...

Jorge Posada - In my intention to be part of a collective memory, my art serves as a vehicle to present my own interpretation of the violent reality I have witnessed. I use the human form to explore the rituals of violence that are present in our global society. I portray the brutality inflicted on the human being by his own kind. I reflect the impact that has been engraved in my mind when I was confronted in my childhood with the universe of icons that represent the martyrs of the Catholic Church. In my quest to exorcise these images, I use the body as the center of my artwork. In my former paintings and drawings, I depicted the figure in a more realistic way. Today I use a different visual approach that integrates the human form into a juxtaposition of color, shape, texture and carefully applied transparencies. The tension between gestural body fragments and planes suggests a constant flux of the body in the two-dimensional space. I articulate the formal dynamics of the ephemeral human presence with a blend of realistic and semi-abstract figuration. I invade the canvas and the paper with brush strokes and lines in spontaneous motions to ...

Alireza Vataniman - My name is Alireza Vatan-Iman and I was born on August 29, 1975 in Shiraz, which is one of Iran's largest cities. At a young age, I began to practice art and design; however, by the age of fifteen I began to take serious lessons. After a while I received my legal art and design license and I started to draw and paint professionally; however, my curious mind went on in search of the meaning of life because I was not satisfied by reality and all the things that are already known to us humans. I learned that behind our real world there lives an unknown universe. Not all of us are aware of this world because our senses are very limited and there are many feelings in life that we are unaware of because we have not yet discovered them. As individuals, we view stimuli or feel the things that we only desire to see or feel. Accordingly, I came to realize that there is a window to our undiscovered senses, especially our visual senses. In fact, at times the pupil of our eye zooms onto these certain stimuli that later gets engraved in our mind and...
