Tara Hutton: 'Olivia', 2002 Acrylic Painting, Figurative. Fashion photography like that of Richard Avedon was the inspiration for this painting. I wanted Olivia to capture the essence of a Christian Dior fashion model circa...

  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Richard Wynne - Richard is an acclaimed International Artist recently returned to the USA. Richard has lived in many Countries. "The last being Thailland. He started his art studies at a very young age at the John Herron Art Institute In Indianapolis, Indiana and then later at the Art Institute of Chicago Richard has lived in many countries, painting, and playing music. Mr Wynne has exhibited in Thailand, the United States, Spain, Argentina, Kuwait, Korea, Ihdia, and other Countries. Sometimes perhaps I say too much about my self but maybe it helps people understand what motivates my work. For your information I've lived in 8 different countries and have been around the world 5 times. I speak a few different languages, some very well; others not so well. By the way I am not a workaholic as I don't consider what I do work. I enjoy life too much. I forgot to say I am also a weight lifter as lifting weights is my Zen. When I am troubled the concentration it takes to lift makes me calm. I guess my page will probably be a little different from what people expect. Sorry I have not been uploading new work as ...

Tara Hutton - My passion for the glamorous Art Deco era of the 1920's & 1930's is reflected in all my artwork. Therefore when you view my artwork you will see definitive lines and geometric shapes. My favorite medium is acrylic. My favorite art period is Art Deco but lately I have been venturing into next era, often referred to as Mid-Century Modern. My love for Architecture and Design is equal to the love I have for Fine Art. I am most attracted to people that are connected to or passionate about the arts. If my arwork pleases you I will be pleased, send me an e-mail, I answer all my art e-mail! Thank you for taking the time to view my Absolute Arts Portfolio. ...

Timothy Scott - Breaking free from old bonds and going toward a new personal style. My watercolors have always sold well, but recently I have decided to move away a bit from my watercolor paintings. I had my own unique handling of the medium, but it was time for a change. But where does a new way of creating art come from? If I choose to paint in an abstract way I truly believe it must come from within, not from a starting point previously explored by others. Let me explain that I am a good realist. However, my abstract work starts from a different place, a different perspective. My new style has been helped along by a series of serendipitous events. First, years ago I met Delores Fortuna in Oak Park, Illinois. She is a wonderful potter who had a studio 3 blocks from our house. I took many classes from her. Loved clay and even better, porcelain clay. I liked the whole process from wedging the clay, to throwing the forms to glazing the bisque fired pieces. When my wife and I moved to Virginia. I found a used kiln and wheel down here and did some pottery. At the same ...

Zsuzsa Naszodi - The art of painting for me is a straightforward process of visual representation of my feelings in response to a given subject. Be it a human face, landscape, a still-life or a fleeting gesture of a scene in a cafe, they all serve as triggers for emotional movement which I try to translate into the language of line, shape and color. My fascination with the world of Art, started early in my childhood but it was only when I felt free of my obligations as a mother and a successful business woman, that I could devote myself entirely to development of my second career as an artist- painter. After few years of an arduous process of picking up the essentials of the painting techniques as well as visual thinking and color experimentation, I feel myself ready to exhibit my work and thus closing the creative cycle which begins usually with the initial sketches and exploration of the subject in which I am interested in any given time. I believe in inspiration and part of my process is concerned with achieving that blissful stage in the creative work when the technique doesn't occupy any conscious thought and flows smoothly...

Mocanu Monica - ...The inspiring elements are people - women and men - as well as the fascinating diversity of human beauty, culture, religion, colour... I every piece of my artwork I intended to create a mixture between the past and the present. If we knew more about each other we would understand how the diversity should be a potential force for the progress of humanity. I hope to be able to dedicate this entire work to people and show that: THE WORLD IS BUT ONE COUNTRY AND MANKIND IT'S CITIZENS! ...

Alain Nicolet - Alain Nicolet was born in 1951. He works on painting since 1977 and had a lot of exhibitions in France Switzerland, USA, etc. His work is like a long way to understand what painting, life, time or memory could mean. This painting asks questions, doesn't show final answers and try to find a way to ask more and more, and better...... Claudette Losier - Artistic Statement - Claudette Losier (LosiersArt) "Where Beauty Lies " "The artist knows that even though he has created something beautiful, it can be destroyed. His real and innermost satisfaction is not in the object, but in the subject; that thing within him that penetrates the mystic splendor of Beauty itself." (Ernest Holmes pg 39) One of my bodies of work explores the concept of Paradise as something sought after by modern society. My search centres on gardens--as near as our own backyard and as far away as other continents or the imaginary garden in our consciousness. It has been stated that each garden reflects our longing for spiritual peace--a tie with our primeordal beginnings. It is in the beauty of nature where I find this spiritual peace from a homemade garden to a formal garden, from a tree to the vastness of Grand Canyon, from a rocky coast line to the calmness of a man made pond. In Dr. Wayne Dyer's book "Power of Intention" he quotes from Emily Dickson and John Keats(pg 51): "Beauty is not caused. It is " As you awaken to your divine nature, you'll begin to appreciate beauty in everything you see, ...
