  • Artists Describing Their Art:

Seidai Tamura - I dedicate my life to realism, a representational rendition in oil. I am specialized in female nude works. Recently, Ive diverged into an erotic genre along with traditional, academic nudes. Due to controversial contents, I am not able to show my erotic pieces. Please message me, if you are interested to see my erotic works. They sell fast among collectors, but some are still available for purchase. Animesh Roy - "I don't pretend that I paint because I want to say something or convey a message. So, please don't read any hidden meanings into my paintings. I paint because I like to portray the happier side of life -- beautiful landscapes, for example -- because I think that there are enough artists painting the morbid side." "I love to travel because that's where the so-called inspiration comes, so I hope to travel more, paint and be generally happy." -- Excerpt from an interview....

Dana Zivanovits - Dana Zivanovits was born in 1958 in Columbus, Ohio and received his art training from the Columbus College of Art and Design (1978 to 1982). After art school, he went abroad for a year and studied the art of the old masters in London, Paris, Madrid, Rome and Venice. Returning to his studio in Columbus to develop these influences into a new body of work, he then traveled to Mexico and studied the sculpture and painting of that country for an extended period. The unique and vivid colors of Palenque and Vera Cruz intensified his palette. After a period in Ohio, he then moved to Venice Beach, California where the brilliant light of the region reinforced his desire to capture effects of sunlight and atmosphere. Returning to Ohio in 1995, he has continued to paint themes deriving inspiration form sources such as world mythology, classic and B-grade cinema, literature and dreams. However his primary inspiration is direct observation from nature, versus an approach based in art theories or cultural critique. Dana has been widely represented by galleries and exhibition projects including Julie Rico and Mega Boom in Los Angeles, the Venice Art Detour, Around the Coyote Festival in Chicago ...

Lisa Reinke - Recognize yourself, someone, everyone and no one in my faces - celebrate color in the shape of a nose, the curve of the ears, the mask of the eyes, and the lines of the lips and hair. Most of all remember the humanity in humanity. The human face inspires me. As humans, we respond to its image beyond all others. For all its familiarity, we rarely pause to consider the face as a visual form, something more than the recognition of a friend or an interaction with a stranger. I paint the face in ways to cause the viewer to reconsider its splendor and renew faith in all things human. Colors and sunlight playing across faces remind me of our connection to the universe and symbolize eternal and fleeting moments simultaneously. I love how we recognize and explore human faces for clues to identity and personality. I am happy to be creating my work and hope that my art inspires you to look around and see the world as a vibrant and exciting place where the most amazing patterns are on display all the time. Moustafa Al Hatter - Artist Statement The important change of my pictorial background took place In the Caribbean, I found myself immersed in the tropical light, which suggested an approximation and rediscovering of color, but the big change happened in Egypt I was touched by its great ancient civilizations. Maybe the transformation in Egypt and in the Caribbean was due to the accumulation of remembrances of my travels to different countries all over the world that were finally settled and allowed the technical and stylistic turn of my painting. Moreover I began to capture those magical and mysterious moments of life, from the obvious that can be seen by my eyes, to the visionary that is perceived by my heart and soul. In my work of art, I abandon the representation of reality, and Stay away from mundane affairs. There is an intention to paint from my memory, which gathers and molds the remembrance of travels, promenades in mysterious old civilizations, and in tropical latitudes. The conventional means of expression is put aside, thus allowing spontaneity with the intention of preserving directness and originality of the living experience. I have placed my art into compartments, while maintaining a sense of unity. The small painted ...

Sandi Carpenter - Due to my endless curiosity and wide range of interests, my work has evolved over the years. Just as a musician would change instruments to perfect the mood and rhythm created, I enjoy moving from one medium to another, be it French dyes on silk, watercolor or acrylic. I am always hopeful that the magic I feel in creating these images will be felt by the viewer with similar intensity. I believe it is only then that art really lives....

Richard Beckholt - My artwork is very unique.I have spent most of my life developing the language of my work and continue to process and refine the course I have chosen. I work very hard to bring all the drama in color and design that I can possibly muster while remaining true to my initial concepts.I will not allow myself to slip into the realm of decorative art for the sake of sales. My art is honest and straight from my heart. Those collecting my works sense the emotions expressed within the stark images....
