COM ~ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED ~ 2011 ~ MY FAVORITE BIBLE BOOKS I've added to my collection of paintings recently some of my favorite books from the Biblein abstract paintings. I've always wanted to do my interpretation and visions of those books as I mentioned. I'm an abstract artist, I see and feel my way through this life journey in abstract stylewhen I express myself through my paintings. My creative and artistic talents lead me to do what I see and feel within me about those special books that inspire us all daily... so please enjoy my creative flow and contribution to my favorite books of the Bible. ~~~~ Symbolism, Energy, Definition of Colors: Black: Black is cloaked in mysteryBlack is not a color, strictly speaking. It is the absence of all color, we hunger to know its secrets, yet we fear what may be revealed. As human beings, we yearn to unravel lifes secrets even as we fear the unknown. This desire/ fear response is the essential enigma of darkness. We are simultaneously drawn to and afraid of the mysteries within black. Considered the negation of color, black is conservative, goes well with almost any color except the very dark. It also has conflicting connotations. It can be serious and conventional. The color black can also be mysterious, sexy, and sophisticated. Gray: The symbolic meaning of the color gray was mourning and repentance Gray is the color of ashes and a punishment or penance was to walk barefoot in a town covered with ashesGray also has a Biblical meaning and is the Christian color for the season of Lent and closely associated with fasting and prayer. Blue: Blue is calming. It can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly. Almost everyone likes some shade of the color blue Yellow: Yellow energy, dawns spectacular yellow rays provide the light and warmth we need for this lavish gift called life. Yellow lights our existence. It illuminates, clearing the shadows of uncertainty. It breathes a warm promise of new beginnings and hope. Red: Red is associated with fiery heat and warmth. It can also mean danger burning. Red is the color of blood, and as such has strong symbolism as life and vitality. It brings focus to the essence of life and living with emphasis on survival. Red is also the color of passion and lustPut some red in your life when you want: increased enthusiasm and interest more energy action and confidence to go after your dreams protection from fears and anxieties Purple: Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good color to use in meditation. Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty. Being the combination of red and blue, the warmest and coolest colors, purple is believed to be the ideal color. Most children love the color purple. Purple is the color most favored by artists. Thursday's color is purple. Green: Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony. Green is a safe color, if you don't know what color to use anywhere use green. Green is favored by well balanced people. Green symbolizes the master healer and the life force. It often symbolizes money. It was believed green was healing for the eyes. Egyptians wore green eyeliner. Green eyeshades are still used. You should eat raw green foods for good health. Friday is the day of green. Green jade is a sacred stone of Asia. White: White is the color of purity. Brides wear white in many countries, because white symbolizes a virgin. White means kindness. In some cultures white is worn at funerals. White is Monday's color. White daisies are a symbol of loyal love. Strictly speaking, white is not a color, but the manifestation of the presence of all color - the complete energy of light. It stands for wholeness and completion. In many cultures it represents openness and truth. White has a cold quality. It can provide clarity as its energy is complete. Orange: Orange is a power color. It is one of the healing colors. It is said to increase the craving for food. It also stimulates enthusiasm and creativity. Orange means vitality with endurance. People who like orange are usually thoughtful and sincere. Lady luck's color is orange. I have been told that if a change of any kind is need in life, just burn an orange candle for 7 nights. Magenta: Magenta is a color of universal harmony and emotional balance. It is spiritual yet practical, encouraging common sense and a balanced outlook on life. The color magenta helps to create harmony and balance in every aspect of life; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Gold: It is no surprise that gold symbolizes wealth used wisely, but it is also the symbol of good health. People who favor the color gold are optimistic. Silver: The metallic refined, distinguished color of riches, has cool properties like gray, but is more fun, lively, and playful. The color silver is associated with meanings of industrial, sleek, high-tech, and modern, as well as ornate, glamorous, graceful, sophisticated, and elegant. Pink: Pink is the color of universal love. Pink is a quiet color. Lovers of beauty favor pink. A pink carnation means "I will never forget you". Put some pink in your life when you want: Calm feelings, to neutralize disorder, relaxation, acceptance, contentment. Beige: Beige is a soft neutral color that isn't quite white and has some of the earthiness of light browns. Beige represents quiet, pleasantness with a touch of luster. As a neutral, beige is a calming color. It carries some of the same pureness, softness, and cleanliness of white but is slightly richer, a touch warmer. Brown: People who prefer brown are often conventional and orderly. The negative meaning of brown can be a repressed personality or a lazy person. Brown is the color of the earth and is associated with the material side of life. Some shades of brown create a warm, comfortable feeling of wholesomeness, naturalness and dependability.
