Artwork Description:
A client brought into the Fontana Art Association Gallery a cutout.. out of plywood --broken up art piece... of an eagle atop barren dry branches of a
looked like. lifeless tree... .. atop velvet black
surface.. Asked me, if I could instead create
desert motive... for this piece.. and install it .. I
thought of Rocks... warm hues... heated by sun
from days past... Eagle out early morning... looking
for wild life... Misty.. cooler air... warm- and cool
color hues.. intense.. because of Eagle hunting for
food... wildlife loosing its life to give energy to
other... Rocks... Then... now... future... feel of
sand... screech of hawk... its pray... silenced and
absorbed by the rising sun... rocks... sand... earth..
life-cycle......... Thought of cactus... beautiful...
filled with moisture... thorns... protect... hurt...
look beautiful... spiders live between..
bugs... ... each thorn has a shadow... each form
reflects... Thought of my core... self... and started
painting... and painting..... when I realized.. on
smooth archival matboard.. every stroke noticable..! very challenging.. needed to title it
Balance.. because I was out.. of balance.. ............
He never came back.. I finished it.. and kept it...
Received top awards.. Time to share... on this site..
