Artwork Description:
After severe Santa Ana Wind,my close longtime friend Pauline exclaimed how terrible her always sparkling swimming pool looked.. I should come and have a look.. I would not believe it.. Thought to myself, I had seen it after severe storms before, and actually liked it.. with all the leaves. reflections of sky in it.. so.. I hopped over to her house.. and looked.. Can you believe it? she looked troubled.. I was delighted.. A Monet pool.. Ohh how great!!! I have to bring my camera.. She shook her head.. Only you could think that... Next morning I rushed with my camera back to her place and took picture over picture.. every where these beautiful images of leaves.. blossoms of all the plants she has.. who looked somewhat bare now.. But ohh, the swimmingpool inspired .. Every space, that was not covered with leaves and blossoms.. little branches.. reflected the trees.. who actually are not that close, but tall.. and the sky.. color of water looked hazy a little, yet made the usually brilliant blue appearing water look this beautiful green hue.. as well as the reflections of the lush trees.. their tops showed.. Winds still- so water rippled in places.. I replayed the pics I had taken for her on my camera.. and she was stunned... A Monet Pool.. marvellous.. Would not have thought or seen it that way.. I just looked at her smiling.. Knew from first sight. the treasure of inspiration right there..
Nature.. cannot argue with nature..
Specially not, when it is frightening intense in expression.. leaves often lots of destruction and despair behind
.. and always we find means of renewal
... and beauty in unexpected spaces...
.. Also within hearts.. (size approx.)
