Artwork Description:
I did have my summer rains, thunderstorms breezes and heat. Had views of magnificent mountaintops, rolling hills, the sea... mighty rivers and creeks.. quaint villages, buzzing cities.. and I had 2 weeks with my mother.. her welcome- quirky ways.. seriousness- joy of creating pressed flower compositions- watching birds in her big garden.. squeeze of her fingers around mine-- laughter in strong quick surprising bursts, which rarely happens in my life anymore.. thought I 'forgot'..
bitter tears in those precious rare moments seemed , I never cried.. nor did she- touched by
spontaneous laughter. .. I thank my brother 'Uwe'.. he's special, and an artist too, as I mentioned under
'Mignon' photography, color. Appreciation to 'Anke', who is the 'main stay'since (8) years?.. have to check
She makes sure Mom is o. k. and this special young, beautiful, caring woman goes beyond 'duty'.. has become my friend, which I treasure and is an enthusiastic 'fan' of my works. Her smile is healing-
from eyes to mouth and back.. out of core- She 'volunteered' her husband 'Heinz' who helped me
out patiently with his laptop.. so I could check on my website .. amongst other things he does with
welcome smile. He also appreciates my works. I thank 'Ulla' who was the first to 'stick it out' with
Mom... and is a friend now of mine also.. and 'Sybille' too, who lives couple of streets down from us and who my mother knew as child. Many 'special' assist in health care women from Red Cross- who each do their best. And 'Hannchen' for her delicious 'cakes' and christmas cookies.. as well as friendship,
that goes wayyy back to childhood.. Her husband 'Gerhard', who tended the garden and other 'must-
instantly-fix' things... I am sure, I missed several more special people, who help make my stay in the
North memorable... and the leaving is not as heart breaking and guilt ridden.. I know, I will be back
there soon... In winter this time.. This winter.. if I can manage it financially (hard for an artist these days.. actually also in 'older' days).. and in the meantime, Mom will be in good capable hands.. and hearts.
