Artist Statement:
A student of both formal and
informal teaching, Mary
Robinson has become an
established artist at the mere
age of twenty-one. Having
studied in England under the
direction of acclaimed artist
Erica Gardiner, Mary is now
living back in the U.S. where
she continues to create her
mixed media pieces.
Robinson has shown at private
viewings, public auctions and
various other forums. In 1999
she became a resident artist
at The Gallery located in
picturesque Hebden Bridge,
West Yokshire, England.
Her styles are bordered
between colorist, abstract and
figurative. She pays
especially close attention to
color, balance, texture and
form.
Her work varies from paintings
to sculpture. She also
speciallizes in half painting
/half sculpture pieces, paper
crafts and collage.
Mrs. Robinson also has gained
attention with her handmade
greeting cards which can be
purchased as individual pieces
(one-of-a-kind)or in quantity
(with the same design
repeated) each one is
specially hand crafted and
nice enough to frame. They can
be purchased directly from the
artist or by visiting one of
the gift shops were they are
sold.
Commissions are available upon
request and should be made
