Artist Statement:
I am a self-taught artist with
influence from Vladimir
Chancel, Vania Bogaiewsky and
Jean Dannet, and they still
often inspire me. I gained
most of my experience from
playing with colour and the
fluidity of the medium, which
I use to try to capture
various emotional states. I
have been paintingfor 20
years.
My art’s uniqueness relies on
the fusion of colours to form
the whole expression. This
comes from my will to reach,
at least one day, the perfect
expression. My art is
conducted by the idea of
exploring the power of color
by matching ceramic paints
with varnish. The degree of
varnish, so important in my
fine-art process allows me to
fusion colours altogether.
This association of ceramic
paints and varnish provides a
“unique alchemy”, which brings
fluidity and intensity of
colour on canvas. All my
artwork is based on this
alchemy.
