Artist Statement:
Dale Bedford - Biography
There are hundreds of artists
selling their services today.
We see many pictures,
paintings and portraits but
only a small minority ever
stir our emotions. Dale
Bedford was one of those
artists that will stir your
emotions.
Winner of numerous awards,
Dale began using his gift at a
very early age. Several of
his 7th grade classmates
purchased emotional drawings
depicting timely issues. Due
to his popularity, the Board
of Education commissioned a
three-piece mural as the
pivotal viewing point for his
Junior High School. Over the
years, Dale continued to use
his gift and also developed a
great career as a network
architect in the cable TV
industry. During a karate
competition in 1993, Dale
sustained a life threatening
brain injury that left him
unable to continue his network
career. Over the following
months, Dale found one central
focus that kept him alive. God
moved him to use his gift.
Life once again was worth
living as long as he could
paint. Many of Dale's
associates saw a great message
in the work he produced. It
was powerful and thought
provoking. His work stirred
wonderful emotions in the
viewer.
