Artist Statement:
Martha Elisa Bojórquez comes
from Sinaloa, a north western
state of Mexico. Since her
childhood she has been in love
with visual arts and has been
dedicated to them for almost
one and a half decades
noticeably influenced by the
incomparable classical and
intrinsic elements of Mexican
Art. She now focuses her work
on contemporary expressionist
painting in oil, acrylic and
mixed techniques. Her art
contains both the figurative
and the abstract element and
shows an exceptional diversity
in combining forms, colors and
textures.
The artist has been presenting
her paintings in numerous
personal and group exhibits.
She began in Mexico and since
2000 expanding her presence
outside her native country to
include Canada, Dominican
Republic, Italy, Portugal,
Spain, the United States, and
Venezuela, where there
continues to be a growing
interest in her work among
fine art galleries, museums
and art collectors.
Martha Elisa now resides in
Atlanta, Georgia, USA and
continues to create
extraordinary work in her new
studio nestled in a serene
ambience with tight bindings
to her native country and thus
to the artistic roots which
