Artist Statement:
I paint digitally and although
I do some seascapes
/landscapes my main subject
area is SciFi/fantasy art. I
have chosen this medium
because it is new, exciting ,
and challenging .Through
various programs I have found
that I can expand my visions
of possible past and future
wolds both here and afar.I try
to experss what I think we are
doing to our environment by
creating scenes of what once
was and is now abandoned .To
me it seems as if we are using
up our home with little or no
reguard to the waste of
resources and the continuing
pollution of our atmosphere
and oceans. I think we've
already managed to alter our
weather patterns . And global
warming is becoming apparent.
We've damaged our ozone layer
as well. When will it stop ?So
as a statement I do some of my
work with themes of abandoment
or flight to distant worlds
or outer space.Through my work
I want people to become more
aware of what we are doing to
ourselves our enviornment and
our planet.
