Inspired by his love of music, Manuel Padilla creates a feel of romantic tranquility in every one of his paintings. Whether figurative or landscape, Manuel’s use of dramatic light and bold color is unique in contemporary art. Heavy, expressive brushstrokes capture an energy that flows throughout each of his simplistic designs. His color pallet primarily consists of earth tones that are often enhanced with rich jewel tones for a dramatic effect. His striking contemporary compositions are reminiscent of both the primitive and classical periods.
Born into a family of artists, Manuel Padilla was exposed to creating art at a very young age. Always encouraged and supported, the artist perfected his skill and excelled early on. Manuel received numerous awards as a young student and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas- Pan American in 1993. Exposed to many creative forms of art in college, Padilla also developed a passion for jewelry design, which continues to be another source of inspiration.
