Artist Statement:
The illusion has faded the
fun-loving man has been
swallowed up into the mass of
flesh no longer to be seen by
anyone including himself, an
awakening. Hard to believe
that he has never recognized
how repugnant he is. It’s
been pointed out many times
over, but he was clueless.
Mirrors lied, his own vision
failed him. Do you know how
hard it is to be a fat
narcissist? He’s joked about
himself, laughing along with
everyone else, not really
laughing. Jokes were a
self-defense mechanism. Beat
them to the punch-line and the
sting won’t be as severe if
they laugh with instead of at
you. Reality has set in and
now he knows what he is. He’s
grotesque. ...
