Artist Statement:
I like to create, not only
because I enjoy it, but
because I feel compelled to. I
enjoy the process of seeing
something in my mind’s eye and
bringing it out onto what ever
medium I am working with at
the moment. I am a self taught
artist, having drawn and
painted since I was a child.
Half the fun, and frustration,
is learning and discovering
new ways of doing things, new
ways to be creative and
expressive. I just love that.
I also like sharing with
others the things I create.
Seeing their response. Because
the creative process can be a
very personal experience, I am
always intrigued to see what
it evokes in others. What do
they see that I didn’t see?
What do they feel? Are we
sharing the same experience,
or diametrically opposite
ones? Either way we connect
on some level, I as the
creator and they as the
audience, and neither of us
need be aware of that
connection. But there it is
nonetheless.
I am inspired by many
different artists and styles
as much as I am inspired by
events, experiences, sounds,
sights and so on. So my style
and my methods ...
