Artist Statement:
My body of work represents the constant struggle between man and nature in today’s fast paced throwaway society. In my assemblage and collage pieces the use of found objects such as junk wood, insects and rusted metal have all served one purpose or had a prior life and are now reborn in a different form. In contrast, my paintings with their stark backgrounds and detailed graphic lines are executed with the intention to make the viewer think about both the social and sometimes mundane world around them.
