Artist’s Statement
The joy of creating and reaching ever-greater height in my Art has kept my passion alive through all the years.
One cannot create unless one is original. This is the acid test of all artistic endeavors. To create and to be original call for a high level of craftsmanship or technique and abstraction. At the same time artistic knowledge and sensibilities need constant enhancement. These are important tasks I always keep in mind.
However, these must couple with painting solely for myself. Only then, I will do what I honestly think is the right thing. My work will be direct from my soul. Consequently, it will relate with seeking viewers.
I have always believed a high standard of artwork is the product of the soul. It is very much inward. Externalities can influence but not determine it.
As a result, subject is secondary in my artwork. Abstraction is central. In other words, I am a Musical Painter more concerned with form or structure, space, shape, pattern, texture, line, color, etc.
Artistic expressions help to evoke the mood of a painting. And abstraction is the vehicle. My belief in the importance of abstraction along with thought and ...
