Artist Statement:
I have always enjoyed
impressionism. I love how the
colors mingle and dance to
make forms come to life. With
the use of large brush strokes
and a bold palette I work to
achieve a sense of movement
and depth in my paintings.

I was very fortunate early on
to receive formal art training
while attending High School. I
went to the Norwich Free
Academy which is one of the
few high schools in the
country to offer a Fine Art
Major. I majored in Fine Art
for the first three years
taking courses in drawing,
design, painting, sculpture,
and many others.

For my last year and into my
adult life I pursued a
Business route. Now in my
mid-thirties I feel I've come
full circle ... returning once
again to my first love ...
art. While the Academy
provided a strong foundation
in my art training, I consider
myself a self-taught painter.
I feel I have found a home
within Impressionism and work
to better my paintings on a
daily basis. My works are in
private collections in MI, NY,
IL, CT, CA, MA, and others.
