Artist Statement:
My painting style draws from my thirty years as a professional musician. The bold colors are a reflection of my love for diversity within a painting or a piece of music. One cannot have an interesting work unless there is contrast both in color and texture. Music has all this and more and I have incorporated this belief into my work. Painting and music, at least for me, are a window, or door if you will, into my innermost thoughts. I believe Art can only be expressed from the creators soul. Art in all of its many forms has been a part of my life as far back as I can remember. Painting has become a natural extension of my need to create and I cannot imagine my life without it. If mankind cannot create then we cease to exist to future generations. ...
