Artist Statement:
My paintings are straight forward work that is not manipulated by any mechanical means. I use pure pigment from the tube and mix my color on the paper as opposed to the palette. I find that by working this way I can get rich, clear and vibrant color.
Most of my paintings are inspired by work in my sketchbook that is mostly spiritual and personal.
Once I am ready to work I start with a light sketch and then fill in areas as I go and layer after layer of paint, let the image develop. Every painting I create is one of a kind and I do not sell prints of my work at this time. If you see a painting of mine that you would like for your own, please feel free to contact me via email. If the painting you are interested in is not available, it is possible that I can create one similar but still make it unique in it's own way. I have included a description with each painting to give you and idea of it's beginnings and personality.
