Artist Statement:
We, who have eyes and
will not see
who have ears but will
not hear
have minds closed to
consciousness
have souls that will not cease
to wander
and hearts that refuse to
be still
existence impermanence
dukkha*
a personal exploration of the
human condition and psyche,
only to find painted faces……
......and this is cheaper
than going for counseling!!!
*dukkha: “suffering”; “ill” -
first of the four noble truths
in the buddha’s teaching. the
term dukkha is not limited to
painful experience, but it
also refers to the
unsatisfactory condition and
the general insecurity of all
conditioned phenomena.
