Artist Statement:
As an artist for over 10
years, I have been very
fortunate in my various
successes. Having had a solo
exhibit at the age of 9 years
old, I have learned a great
deal about the business and
the passions of being an
artist, and I have seen my
work evolve and mature as a
result.
My vision of art is quite
simple. I allow the ambiance
of where I am at, physically,
mentally, philosophically, to
make its presence known on the
canvas. In the past, my
paintings have been said to
convey the “freshness of a
child and at the same time the
maturity of the accomplished
artist”. It is with great
anticipation and confidence
that I look forward to hearing
other’s perceptions of my work
in the future.
My family and I immigrated to
the United States in 1989 from
Russia, at which time I had
already completed a large
number of works. In these 10
years of living in America, I
have allowed myself to absorb
and reflect American culture,
and it shows in my newest
works. Fueled by the area
around me and travels to
distant places, I find my
imagination and desire to
create...
