Artist Statement:
A World within a world
Momentary vignettes, cameos
Everything
relating to time, not
necessarily history, not
necessarily
feminist.
Modern
iconography transformed like a
caterpillar to a butterfly.
My art, painted relief, uses
the fluid medium of
watercolors along with a base
of handmade-recycled papier
mache as well as a final
tactile enclosure of clear
varnish to make time
tangible.
My work at first isn’t
abstract, in fact it begins in
a high realistic state, only
when it is transformed to
sculpture is it then abstract,
‘Outside-r’ the normal and
Conceptual.
They are poetry about life.
BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in a family of
artists (Her Father is an
artist as well as her mother
is a literary artist), has
lead her to develop a deep
devotion to the study of the
human figure and to all
aspects of painting and
multiple media.
Outside of the guidance from
her family, she received
training early on from the
School of the Art Institute of
Chicago obtaining a BFA and
received a full scholarshipfor
her MFA at Northern Illinois
University. Her awards
include: an Appointment of
Associated Academian by
Accademia Internazional of
Vercelli, Italy, a FOTA’s
Service to the Arts ...
