Artist Statement:
My goal is to create and
perfect my own style of
painting. I instruct myself
using my ideas on a trial and
error basis. I have a natural
feeling for color and I am
using that ability to keep my
paintings unique. I do not
want to be influenced by other
artists styles, therefore I
have no formal training. I
believe the only way to
achieve my goal is to use my
own intuition and imagination.
I paint from my soul and do
not plan out my work in
advance. I spontaneously
create my images in acrylics
relying totally on my
imagination. Using the canvas
as my pallet, I apply the
colors I want to use mixing
and moving the paint with a
brush overlapping and building
until the painting comes
alive. When the subject
emerges, I concentrate on the
final steps of developing the
work."My art is not just my
occupation, it's my life
mission."
