Artist Bio:
Rachel Powers is an Artist and
Designer. Rachel works as both
a Fine Artist (Painting,
Photography, New Media and
Installation Art) and as a
Designer, specializing in
interaction design for Web,
multimedia and software.
Rachel holds a B.F.A. in from
the San Francisco Art
Institute and an M.A. from
Notre Dame de Namur
University. She has also
studied at the School of the
Art Institute of Chicago and
the National Academy of Fine
Art in Hangzhou, China. She
also holds a professional
Artist-Teacher certificate and
is an Adjunct Faculty member
with San Francisco State
University.
Rachel has received multiple
awards for her work. She is
the recipient of a National
Kodak Award for Photography.
Rachel currently is an
Artist-in-Residence at the
Noyes Cultural Arts Center in
