Artist Statement:
For me, making art has always
been like interpreting dreams
-- multi-layered, surreal, and
full of metaphor. All my work
comes pouring straight from my
psyche with no reality
filters. My work is done more
recently on computer using
Fractal Design Painter 5 and a
Wacom tablet, but I also work
in traditional media such as
oils, acrylic, and tempera.
My work focuses on emotional
variances from subtle to
extreme, and I work from my
own subconscious mindscape,
most often not knowing what
I’m trying to achieve until
the very last stages of the
work. My paintings generally
have a surreal, almost
apocalyptic, look and feel.

I am sometimes asked what my
paintings mean, but more often
I am told what my paintings
mean to the person looking at
them. Sometimes people will
say, "That reminds me of ..."
I have never had anyone walk
away uninterested, and for me,
that's the whole point of
making art. It touches people
and gets them thinking....
