Artist Statement:
Jay Brockman’s unique work is powerful and thought provoking. He is an artist of this time and his generation.
From 1995 through 1998, Brockman created a large volume of work in heavy collage style, as influenced by the streets of New York. Prior to NY, Brockman studied fine art at the Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL.
Brockman produces an intense body of work in his Hollywood Hills studio. His cardboard box paintings are unique and well-executed. The recent canvas collection is comprised of a variety of beautifully detailed, colorful paintings. Brockman’s art can be found every 1st and 3rd Sunday, at Gallery Domingo in the Melrose Trading Post in Hollywood, CA and on the internet at www.jaybrockman.com or www.gallerydomingo.com.
