Artist Statement:
My artwork is two dimensional
with layers or sculpted areas
to show a three dimensional
quality. I consider myself a
contemporary artist, but use
themes in abstract, tropical,
and art deco. The shape and
range of colors show depth,
and the dimensions carry
movement to maintain interest
in the design.
Working in Graphics for years
shows in the overall design.
My medium is primarily
Acrylic, but I also use enamel
and other texturing mediums.
I use wood, mirror, fiber,
canvas, and lighting in some
backgrounds with Plexiglas.
I received a BFA from the
University of Arizona in 1979,
and worked in the Graphic
Design field for over 20
years. In 1995 I started
creating my wall hangings, and
2002 I began painting murals.
