Artist Statement:
Kenneth Ray Kanipe was
born in Detroit, Michigan in
1951. Not long after in 1969
his idea and dream for a
radical new style of art was
born which he would call
“Centrifugal Art”!
His love and dedication for
this new style finally lead
him to create his first piece
of Centrifugal Art in the
early 70’s which where mostly
done on poster board.
With the completion of over
80 paintings under his belt,
Kenneth considered his new
style a success. His new art
found their place to hang in
many family and friends homes
and many local office‘s in the
surrounding communities where
he grew up.
Kenneth went on to start a
family and concentrate on his
career at Ford Motor Company,
and as a builder/owner of a
successful construction
company.
Kenneth has started to focus
on his paintings again not
only on canvas but he also
experiments with other mediums
such as glass and ceramics.
