Artist Statement:

(THANKS!) My work is
ultimately....about me. About
my trying to figure out who I
am, where I've come from,
where I'm going. All those
questions that, I'm assuming,
everyone asks themselves at
some point in their lives. I
use art to find those answers.
I am able to communicate
visually, that which I am not
able to do verbally. A
dialogue with myself, and
those who view the work.
In terms of process? I
work "intuitively" for the
most part. Meaning, that I
surround myself with the
materials I wish to work with,
then.....let go. When I'm
"back" from that place where
images come from, I'm usually
surprised / shocked / amused /
scared / pleased, with the
outcome. This way of working,
I believe, connects with that
"pure, honest" side of myself.
That self that doesn't allow
impurities to seep through to
corrupt what I'm searching
for....the truth. The truth
about myself, about my
interests, my personality, my
loves, my fears, my dreams,my
world... everything.
I do have things that
influence my work, of course.
